MEN'S SCOUT 3 LIGHTWEIGHT BOOT

I am a long-haul trucker and I am constantly bombarded by ever-changing weather conditions as I travel from one side of Canada to the other as well as Stateside. It often feels like every province or state has an entirely different weather system, so I always have to be prepared.Winter is upon us, so there is predominantly snow in more areas than not, and so I needed a pair of boots that were seriously up to the challenges I face, so I tried these Absolute Scout 3 tall winter boots from the ABSOLUTE CANADA store. They come in a black and a camo brown version, but I ordered the black to suit my general trucker style. Others might prefer the camo however; if they are hunters, these would certainly get them across snow-filled landscapes while remaining relatively inconspicuous.This company evidently understands the needs of outdoors-oriented life, particularly in the winter time. The boots are very well insulated and completely waterproofed while also being very breathable. There is an even an outside pocket on either boot, because... you never know what you need to keep with you when you are oot and aboot. There is a pull-string around the top of the boot to keep warmth in, and snow out. The bottom half of the boot is entirely rubberized, and the entire style is modern but light to wear and extremely flexible. I had no issues walking around my long-hauler and getting my work done, and was so happy to be able to tread over snow, slush and salt with no worries that I would even damage the boots. They are very resilient to the elements.Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with this branded Scout 3 boots, they will hopefully last me a couple of winters. 5 stars.

Even at -5 degrees they were too cold to be outside very long

I needed a new pair of boots to shovel or go out in bad winter weather. I liked those because they looked a lot like my old ones but once I started wearing them it's like night and day, technology evolved. The insulation is soft but strong, the bottom looks big and it is but they are actually relatively light for boots that size so not that cumbersome.My heels moves a little bit, if I had to walk long distance in them I would probably put on thicker socks. The strap helps tighten the sides but I have relatively thin ankles so it's not enough, it would require something in the back. I tend to have hot feet and I did not use them outside in actual very cold temperature, only regular winter cold and not for hours at a time, so I can't tell how well the insulation actually protect from the cold but it feels quite decent.If you want to go hiking, work all day outside or do winter sports maybe I would recommend investing in a brand with more renown otherwise they seems a decent alternative.

The design is well thought out, with a side pocket (for coins?). The sole is thick enough to shield from the hard edges of snow on the coldest of days. The insides is insulated well, waterproof, and is comfortable to stand in for long hours. The build quality is solid, with double stitching where it counts. The material is quality and durable feeling.
